I was invited up to Auckland to hang with my old buddy Diane and go to a Massive company house party. Diane picked me up and we drove around, saw some cool places, then ate some good dinner and chatted it up. She then proceeded to take me to a flat party that was dubbed “Frat Party”, which as you can tell had a theme to it. It instantly felt like the backyard of some Boulder CU drunkfest. Cheap booze, dirty cups everywhere, drunk chicks, DJ, some random dude doing burnouts on the street with his not so sweet Integra, it was perfect. The party was put on by some friends of people Diane works with. We were prepared and brought some random vodka and tequila that Diane had in a floorboard of her car. Both bottles were about empty and the vodka tasted like perfume. Awesome.

 

The next day started off with breakfast and shopping for the company party. The party started around 3pm with about 10 of us eating, drinking and swimming. Diane bought this big tank that she likes to bob around in and do exercises. The people there were Massive employees and their friends and the party was held at Diane’s house/Massive HQ. More people showed up through the night and the party went on till about 2am. Everyone was very cool and I had a good time meeting and hanging with those fools.

 

The following day started off at 1pm (when we all finally motivated) with breakfast on the beach which included Diane, her long time friend Cindy and myself. We talked about all kinds of stuff but mostly about movies which inspired us to go see one. Diane suggested one of the theaters here that have a section with lazy boys and a catered vibe so you can say stuff like “ok, every half hour, bring me more popcorn and more coke,” and they do it. It was great. After that, I got on my plane and came back.
